The images created for the Tribute series are very personal.  Over the years I have made friendships with many people from all over the world, many times coming from receiving an email from a stranger that developed into such a friendship.  It would take pages and pages of writing to put the experiences in proper words so I felt compelled to honor these occassions in some visual artistic way.  Most of the images began with collaging original handwritten letters and envelopes (in the native language of the writer) onto a base paper of some sort.  I found myself desiring to learn more about each  friend's location and culture. 

Information obtained found its way into the images by some method.  In a somewhat similar way my own travels brought forth experiences that led to the creation of images.  Many, of course, come from friendships within the USA.  I consider all the works mixed media on paper.  There are more works in this series  than shown here.
